In October 2025, Márta Kiss was an invited participant at the conference of the Hungarian Sociological Association, taking part in the roundtable discussion entitled: “The Dismantling of Local Self-Government: Centralizing Tendencies and Possible Responses of Municipalities.”

Participation at the ESA RN13 2025 Interim Meeting

Ildikó Husz and Éva Perpék participated in the ESA RN13 2025 Interim Meeting, held under the theme “Plurality of Families: Forms, Relationships, Experiences” from 10–12 September 2025 in Ankara. The meeting of ESA Research Network 13 (Sociology of Families and Intimate Lives) brought together international scholars presenting current research on the diversity of family forms and intimate relationships. International conference session on liveable rural futures

Within the framework of the OTKA 147050 research project, we organized a conference session at the ESRS international conference titled “Navigating Rural Transitions: Exploring Liveable Futures”, held in Riga between 7–11 July 2025. The session was entitled: “Building Liveable Rural Futures: Social and Solidarity Economy in the Light of Social and Climate Justice in Rural Areas.” During the session, we presented the first results of our research.

Social economy actors and changing trends – conference session organised

Within the framework of the OTKA 147050 research project, we organized a conference session entitled “The Role and Opportunities of the Social Economy Today: Actors, Goals, Tasks, Changing Trends and Challenges” at the 2024 Annual Conference of the Hungarian Sociological Association in Pécs. We also presented the results of the data-mapping phase of our research project.
